The Banfield Foundation awards Animalkind $5,000.00 grant

This generous grant, from the The Banfield Foundation, is to help support Animalkind’s veterinarian assistance program for low-income pet-owners pets in upstate New York.

HUDSON, NY- For the past 7 years, Animalkind has been offering medical assistance for the pets of low-income residents in Columbia and Greene counties.

Many pet-owners, who have been hit hard by these difficult economic times, have found it impossible to provide urgent medical care for their beloved pets. Unfortunately, this has led to the needless suffering of these pets, with many of them ending up in shelters, because the owners just couldn't afford to take care of their medical needs.

Animalkind recognized the need to help our community members see that their pets were medically cared for and to keep them in their homes with their owners.

Animalkind is deeply grateful for this generous grant from the Banfield Foundation, and for their confidence in Animalkind’s mission to help the pets and their low-income owners.
