Proof of low income is required to qualify for free or low-cost medical care, including SSI/disability, veteran, military, SNAP, WIC, Medicaid, HIV/AIDS, or an emergency situation (domestic violence, eviction, hospitalization, incarceration, rehabilitation, or fire).
